On Monday, we walked along Papanui Rd (where our hotel is) to the city center. Quite some distance away. I think it was around 15-20 mins walking. We booked a car first thus, it took a bit longer. The road itself is neat. Lots of (small) shops, art galleries, and some restaurants. Thus, walking to city center was exciting (pretty windy and cold tho).

Outside Christchurch Art Gallery. It’s one of the modern building there. Really nice. They have good collection of paintings from different era, as well as from NZealander painters. The “things” in the photo above are supposedly representing some maori sails…

… ANZ (Air New Zealand) gave us extra 2 hours to enjoy the airport lounge (with free orange juice) and 6 hours to enjoy the plane before the actual departure
Pretty fortunate that we’ve professional pilots and engineers who put safety as top priority. They worked really hard in the middle of the night to ensure safe and smooth journey…

Finally, arrived to NZ yesterday night. Local time: 11pm. Went for city sightseeing. A lovely (and quiet) place. The best thing: price is similar with Singapore. Yup…. The internet is kinda difficult here. $2 for 15 mins. So, yup, better get going with checking my mails.
Yep… from 30 to 45 mins. I’m blogging from changi. yay! ![]()
Have been doing some research on this city. Looks like it’s going to be a nice city (I think I’ll love the hotel). I’ll see how similar it is ;). Current plan: going to office tomorrow, meet my parents @ Changi, and off we go. Cross my finger,… hopefully NZ is not that isolated from internet. (Seems that their library has some internet connection). Not sure if I could blog there (It’s going to be exciting if I could)… Hmm, laptop and digital camera is ready. *think… think… what else?* ….
Time magazine writes about blogging
Why are more and more people getting their news from amateur websites called blogs? Because they’re fast, funny and totally biased
Great reading about weblogs movement, how they become popular, and pointer to some interesting weblogs.
